- ASTM F-67: Pure, unalloyed titanium. This is the safest metal for sensitive ears because it is the least likely to cause a reaction. We use this for almost all of our earrings.
- ASTM F-136: Implant grade titanium. This is an biocompatible alloy containing aluminum, vanadium, and titanium. We use this for our flat back studs.
- COATING: Titanium nitride PVD is applied to our gold jewelry to give it an 18k gold color. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than gold plating.
- CARE: Since the materials we use are non-tarnishing, our jewelry can be worn in the water and will not change color, rust, tarnish or turn green.

I adore this hoop, it is the perfect size for my helix piercing! And now with the bigger sizes, I will be buying it to fit my conch too!
So far so good! After about two decades I decided to start wearing earrings again. I quit because my earlobes became irritated when I tried wearing costume jewelry. Now that I conducted research on what types of materials I can wear safely, I'm glad I settled on these from Tini Lux. They're perfect.
Perfect tiny septum hoop for a low profile look.
I bought this several months ago to wear in my conch piercing. Typically, jewelry shops use hoop diameter measurements to refer to the inner diameter of the hoop. I measured this hoop myself, and the outer hoop diameter does equal 10mm, and the inner hoop diameter is about 8 mm. Thus, it was far too tight and painful to wear in my conch piercing.
I decided to keep the jewelry because I know it is high quality (I have other Tini Lux pieces for my earlobes, and they do not irritate my highly sensitive ears at all), and I now wear it daily in my helix piercing.
I am only writing this review to warn others that this probably won't work for a conch piercing. And to perhaps suggest that they change the description to clarify that 10mm refers to the measurement of the outer diameter of the hoop to avoid future confusion.
i literally never write reviews but I haven't been able to wear earrings in my second lobe piercings for years because they would get infected with any earring..I bought these earrings to give it one last shot and after the initial scabbing from basically repiercing my ears with them they healed perfectly and I have had them in for a few months now with no problems. Totally worth the cost.
