ASTM F-67: Pure, unalloyed titanium. This is the safest metal for sensitive ears because it is the least likely to cause a reaction. We use this for almost all of our earrings.
ASTM F-136: Implant grade titanium. This is an biocompatible alloy containing aluminum, vanadium, and titanium. We use this for our flat back studs.
STAINLESS STEEL: We use this as a base metal for our bracelets and necklaces. We always use nickel free and lead free stainless steel. It is then plated with titanium nitride, a biocompatible material, to further protect sensitive skin.
COATING: Titanium nitride PVD is applied to our gold jewelry to give it an 18k gold color. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than gold plating.
CARE: Since the materials we use are non-tarnishing, our jewelry can be worn in the water and will not change color, rust, tarnish or turn green.

I love the asymmetric design, with the jewel slightly off center. It works with the two different chains. The chains are thicker and chunkier than I would normally wear, but the necklace itself is lightweight and beautiful. The jewel sometimes flips over, as other reviewers have mentioned, but it’s not a big deal to me at all. The silver rectangle is also pretty! But the green jewel is stunning.
The mixed chains are such a beautiful style element for this necklace! I love the green when it catches the light. This is my every day piece!
The necklace is really pretty and very lightweight; I was very excited to get it. But the emerald always flips over to the wrong side, which is disappointing since that is my favorite part of the necklace. The corners of the emerald are also sharp and pointy, which makes wearing it pretty uncomfortable.
Normally I only buy earrings from Tini Lux because I don’t have any issues with other metal when they aren’t inside a piercing, but I’m glad I decided to splurge on this necklace. I love the asymmetry. It’s subtle, but intriguing. My only complaint is that the gem tends to flip over sometimes, but there really isn’t anything that could be done to improve that. It’s just the nature of a wide, flat object.
